Hello and Welcome - My name is Lofty Lofthouse aka <<UK>>DeadAgain, I was born on 13 April 1964.

LOCATION – I currently live and work in Germany, nearest big town is Monchengladbach. But I'm originally from Bolton, Lancashire (the right side of the Pennines) in the UK.

FAMILY – I'm married to Nicole and we have two children, Roxanne and Brandon. We also have two American Bulldogs called Harley and Holly.

JOB – After completing over 24 years in the Army I'm now a full time skiver, working occasionally in the world of Communications.

INTERESTS – My interests are obviously PC's, Gaming - Sof2 has always been my favourite online game but I do play others. My other main interest is Motobikes, I currently have two a Suzuki M1800R and a Honda CB1300. I am also like sport, can watch vertually any sport. Main sport is Rugby League, supporting Wigan RLFC. During my time in the Army I played many sports, Rugby, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton and Squash to name a few. I am still a very active squash player.

FAVE MUSIC – My favourite music is Rock Music. I prefer the older stuff, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zepplin, AC/DC to name a couple, but I do like alot of the newer stuff as well. One of my main intetersts is seeing bands live, there arnt many Rock bands I have not seen :-)

COMEDY – My favourite comedy show has got to be Fawlty Towers. I do however like Cathrine Tate and Little Britan. Stand up comedians I like Dave Allen and Billy Connolly.

FILMS – My favourite films are Action and Westerns, couldnt pick a favourtie film really, there are far to many classics to list them all.

Location – I am currently living in Cyprus between Paphos and Limassol, however I originally come from Norwich, Norfolk.

Family – I am married to Alison, we have no children, however we do own a dog which is supposedly a Spaniel x Collie x Terrier. However if you ever saw him you would have your doubts looks like a fox crossed with a wolf.

Job – Currently still in the Army, (In the world of communications) probably got about another 3-5 yrs left and then I have no idea what will follow.

Interests – Online gaming comes as a given, after that I have always been a keen sportsman playing a lot of Football, Rugby and Swimming and Water Polo. Now that I have become a more mature person I have now moved onto Triathlons (am planning to do an Ironman in 2009). Outside of that love Motorbikes currently have a Fireblade in the Repsol racing colours, also am lucky enough to own one of the fairly rare Mini Cooper S JCW GP cars.

Fave Music – Will listen to most types of music however do have a preference for easy listening and rock.

Comedy – Has to be between MASH and Only Fools and Horses.

Films – Love actions movies and would hate to have to nominate a favourite as there are too many to choose from.

NAME: Doug McDougall – GRAViL is a nickname I picked up from falling off my motorbike (when I had one). I prefer to use my own name when signing my forum posts, not sure why, I just do.

DOB: 02/10/1959 – I’ve just turned 46 this year (2005), I was born in Dundee, Scotland, however my parents immigrated to Africa when I was 3 yrs, I spent the majority of my youth (up to 16) in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). I had a great upbringing, I feel very privileged to have lived my younger life abroad.

LOCATION: Swindon, Wiltshire – I use to live in Wales, moved to Swindon about 7 years ago when I got a job in the area.

OCCUPATION: UMTS Systems Engineer – I have a strange job history, I left school at 16 with the most basic Rhodesian qualification, my first job was as a fitter in a factory making laundry machines, I went night school at the same time and got a few A levels. I then started working for the NHS as a Theatre Orderly, after a few years in the job I was offered training to become a Theatre Technician, I worked in the NSH for a total of 14 years. Towards the end of this time I became very disheartened with the job and so started doing a HND in computing, after that I transferred onto a BSc course and finally got my degree in 1998. I left the NHS and started working for Motorola (no I can’t get anyone a free mobile phone!), I’ve been here ever since in various roles.

PASTIMES/INTERESTS: All things computing, I run a few platforms at home 2 XP Athlon based machines and a SUN Netra440 running Solaris 9 (upgrading to 10 soon). I have just taken up radio control flying….. OK, the first plane I had lasted for about 10 seconds (not my fault…. honest) and I haven’t flown the replacement yet, but it is ready to go! I love listening to music and have quite a varied taste, (pop, rock, classical, folk, soul, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s…. and so on). I HATE RAP (there’ something missing from rap…. the letter C). If I watch TV I prefer to watch something on one of the discovery channels, I really enjoy things like Mythbusters, Scrapheap Challenge….. and I’d love UFOs to exist, but I doubt they do!! I’m totally fascinated with astrophysics and I’m currently reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene, a book about string theory (sad I know)! I almost never read fiction although I have read a couple of Ben Elton books this year. If you think your life is crap I suggest you read “A Boy Called It” followed by “A Man Called Dave”… I believe there is a third book too.

ODD THINGS ABOUT ME: I ware odd socks for luck, and the darkest coloured sock has to be on the left foot…. If I’m not sure which is darker, I’ll choose another sock!!! (I can’t believe I’ve owned up to this). If I’m having a bad session on SOF2 I make sure the socks are on the right feet (it has happened). Last year I got a tattoo on my back, after years of wanting one I realised at 45 I didn’t need to ask my mums permission any more…. I was always told I’d regret it when I was older….. well in 25 years time… I be to bloody old to remember it, never mind regret it!! I don’t mind being 46, I hated my 30th birthday…. It was a Monday I recall…. I phoned in sick and stayed in bed all day.

GAMES: SOF2, BF2 ( I have 550 Gb of space and I play two games), – I have played SOF2 since the games was released.

INTERESTS – Where do I start? I enjoy so many things, Photography, fast cars, online sniping, helping with the clan, nice restaurants, my wife, (she really IS my best friend), beach holidays and much more.

FAVE MUSIC – I like a wide range of music but especially hard house and electronic/dance. The Crystal Method are my favorites at the moment.

There are also a lot of solo artists with a new twist on 'folk' music. I particularly like, Ray Lamontagne, Tom Baxter, Scott Matthews and Newton Faulkner.

COMEDY – I like surreal but not all of it. Bill Bailey live probably sums it up. (see right).

FILMS – Not really my bag but british films tend to do more for me than American. 'Shaun of the Dead' is pretty good.

I know it's Aussie, but Mad Max II is one of my favorites too.

FAVE DRINK – Pernod and Lemonade, Bloody Mary and Budweiser Budvar Lager, (NOT the American crap, the real Czech Republic stuff).

I work for Thomson directories, Internet team working with all the UKs major search engines like Goggle, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves etc. I am a sales account manager which is highly stressful but great fun.

I enjoy my gaming and have played SOF2 for a number of years,

I used to be a night club DJ and travelled all over the world playing dance music but when my little girl came along I had to get a real job. lol

Now I spend all my spare time with my fiancee and little girl (age 7) and off course playing SOF2
