FAMILY – Married to Sue for 25 years with 2 beautiful daughters

JOB – Work for largest South West Architects Stride Treglown
in Bristol as Design Coordinator right next to the Clifton Suspension
Bridge.
INTERESTS – Music, Comedy, WWII History, 3D Computer Modelling
and of course FPS games, and lots of um, but for some reason SOF
keeps dragging me back . Don’t Do Duvets or Sport!
Love driving get to do lots when u have 2 daughters, so got myself
a shiny new PT Cruiser with extra chrome. U love um or hate um
but I think they r just great. They do exactly what its says on
the tin CRUISE.
FAVE MUSIC – Generally anything Heavy or Goth, prefer the
70s & 80s stuff Sabbath, ELP, Rush, Nuclear Assault, Venom,
Demon etc but Linkin Park, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Lacuna
Coil are pretty dam good. Quite liked most of the Punk Scene I
was at college then.
COMEDY – The Young Ones, Bottom, Little Britain, League of
Gentlemen, Simpsons Futurama and of course Monty Python.
FILMS – Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down and most SciFi
stuff.
FAVE DRINK – Ummmmmmmmmmm Beer.
FAVE FOOD - I’m with UK LEEDS on this one Meat!!!
FUNNIEST THING – Loved the band KISS so dressed up as Gene
Simons (Rock School C4) and went to Gig. Got so pi__ed and hot
in the face paint and armour I passed out and missed most of it
(I had only been waiting 15 years to see them). Still it sure did
get some looks on the Bus to the gig. |

NAME: Doug McDougall – GRAViL is a nickname I picked up from falling off my motorbike (when I had one). I prefer to use my own name when signing my forum posts, not sure why, I just do.
DOB: 02/10/1959 – I’ve just turned 46 this year (2005), I was born in Dundee, Scotland, however my parents immigrated to Africa when I was 3 yrs, I spent the majority of my youth (up to 16) in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). I had a great upbringing, I feel very privileged to have lived my younger life abroad.
LOCATION: Swindon, Wiltshire – I use to live in Wales, moved to Swindon about 7 years ago when I got a job in the area.
OCCUPATION: UMTS Systems Engineer – I have a strange job history, I left school at 16 with the most basic Rhodesian qualification, my first job was as a fitter in a factory making laundry machines, I went night school at the same time and got a few A levels. I then started working for the NHS as a Theatre Orderly, after a few years in the job I was offered training to become a Theatre Technician, I worked in the NSH for a total of 14 years. Towards the end of this time I became very disheartened with the job and so started doing a HND in computing, after that I transferred onto a BSc course and finally got my degree in 1998. I left the NHS and started working for Motorola (no I can’t get anyone a free mobile phone!), I’ve been here ever since in various roles.
PASTIMES/INTERESTS: All things computing, I run a few platforms at home 2 XP Athlon based machines and a SUN Netra440 running Solaris 9 (upgrading to 10 soon). I have just taken up radio control flying….. OK, the first plane I had lasted for about 10 seconds (not my fault…. honest) and I haven’t flown the replacement yet, but it is ready to go! I love listening to music and have quite a varied taste, (pop, rock, classical, folk, soul, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s…. and so on). I HATE RAP (there’ something missing from rap…. the letter C). If I watch TV I prefer to watch something on one of the discovery channels, I really enjoy things like Mythbusters, Scrapheap Challenge….. and I’d love UFOs to exist, but I doubt they do!! I’m totally fascinated with astrophysics and I’m currently reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene, a book about string theory (sad I know)! I almost never read fiction although I have read a couple of Ben Elton books this year. If you think your life is crap I suggest you read “A Boy Called It” followed by “A Man Called Dave”… I believe there is a third book too.
ODD THINGS ABOUT ME: I ware odd socks for luck, and the darkest coloured sock has to be on the left foot…. If I’m not sure which is darker, I’ll choose another sock!!! (I can’t believe I’ve owned up to this). If I’m having a bad session on SOF2 I make sure the socks are on the right feet (it has happened). Last year I got a tattoo on my back, after years of wanting one I realised at 45 I didn’t need to ask my mums permission any more…. I was always told I’d regret it when I was older….. well in 25 years time… I be to bloody old to remember it, never mind regret it!! I don’t mind being 46, I hated my 30th birthday…. It was a Monday I recall…. I phoned in sick and stayed in bed all day.
GAMES: SOF2, BF2 ( I have 550 Gb of space and I play two games), – I have played SOF2 since the games was released.

Details and Age: Born 28 Nov 1964
Family: Married to Alison and have been for 10yrs we have no children but one heinz varity dog supposed to be a border collie x spaniel x terrier however if you saw him you would question that - he was born in Canada.
Location: Both myself and alison were born in Norfolk England, however I am now stationed in Elmpt in Germany which is on the German/Dutch border. Been here for 3 yrs and amd due to move next May/Jun no idea where yet but hopefully will be staying in Germany or another location abroad. When I finish in my current job our intention is to emigrate to Canada.
Occupation: Currently I am serving in the Armed Forces (Army) which I joined at 16 1/2 Yrs of age and will be staying in until my current term ends in 2010 and then I will be joining the ranks of the Civilian and become a Mr. I am in the Royal Corps of Signals and am a Communications Manager however this is a bit wide ranging!!! (I am not a IT/IS man by any means).
Hobbies/Interests: A big sportsman who has played and still play most sports in particular Football, Rugby and Swimming/Water Polo. I have recently taken up doing Triathlons and learning to play the guitar (be a while before any public performances though)!!!! I read a lot the majority of books being Sci Fi Tolkien, Robert Jordan etc Currently studying to be a Sports Therapist for my new life outside the Camo suit.
Transport: A keen biker I have just purchased a new bike the Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade in Repsol race colours.
Favourite Music: I listen to most however do enjoy easy listening and soft rock more than most Boston, Foreigner, Queen etc
Favourite Drink: Cafferys and when that becomes to much in the early hours Vodka/Red Bull.

 My name is Marcel and I'm 32 years old. I live in Koblenz, Germany where the rivers Rhein and Mosel meet at the socalled "Deutsche Eck" = the german corner. I love living in my small apartment overlooking the sluicelock of the Mosel.
I earn my money working in a small recording studio and as a permanent guest-keyboarder for an alternative rock band called Blackmail. Currently I'm a member in two other bands, too but they're far from earning enough money.
All this doesn't keep me from still naming music as a hobby; I can't name a favorite genre - there's so much to discover everywhere.
Obviously SOF2 and some other games are a big hobby, too. Although I was heavily impressed by HL2's graphics, SOF2 still rules in my opinion. It just feels like coming home, lol. The game of my dreams would combine graphics like in HL2 or Doom3 with a non-linear gameplay like GTA-San Andreas or BF2.
Favorite drink outside the UK: red wine from Spain and California and Newcastle brown Ale
Favorite drink inside the UK: Ales (f.e. Hobgoblin Traditional English Ale by Wychwood), preferably in very large amounts.
Favorite food: pulpo a la gallego and anything I can put loads of garlic on. (Hi Dom)
I like travelling when I can afford it. Sun and sea turn me into a much nicer person. That's probably due to my being an aquarius.
